| Job Description: |
As a Senior Strategist at The Mach 1 Group, you will be responsible for translating high-level strategies into actionable plans that yield concrete outcomes for our esteemed clients and support Mach 1's Vice Presidents and Senior Vice President in ensuring that client needs are met through content generation, tactical execution and day-to-day account management. Mach 1's core values are efficiency and excellence. Be prepared to work in a fast-paced – sometimes high-pressure – environment that requires attention to detail and collaboration. We're seeking individuals with a strong work ethic and a history of executing successful communication plans in government, policy or newsroom settings. Team players are a must! Salary commensurate with PR experience. Mostly remote with travel for meetings/events. During Texas' Legislative Session every other year, team members must be available to be in Austin from January to May at the last minute. |
| Candidate Qualifications: |
Bachelor's in Communication, PR, journalism, political science or related. Master's preferred.Min. 2 yrs' exp. in gov't, policy comms, public affairs or journalism. Proven success in strategic coms yielding measurable outcomes. Familiarity with policy, gov't processes, and media. Strong written/verbal skills; crafts compelling messages. Thrives in fast-paced, multitasking settings. Crisis comms exp. a bonus. Leadership and teamwork in diverse contexts. |
