  • Salary range: $62,500+ depending on qualifications and experience

Job Description:

Based on your experience, responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding the big picture of a client’s brand and connecting it to individual initiatives
  • Building strong relationships and collaborating with key partners
  • Media relations: developing appropriate media strategies, pitches, story angles, etc.; identifying and establishing meaningful relationships with press across relevant industries and communities; researching new media outlets, influencers, and trends; building press lists; and reporting on outreach, coverage, and other activity
  • Managing media inquiries, prepping clients for interviews, and responding to timely news opportunities
  • Generating ideas for communication strategies and developing related promotional plans and tactics
  • Effectively developing a full range of written materials, including press releases, byline articles, speeches, client correspondences, communication plans, and reports
  • Leading or assisting with account strategy and planning, and budget development
  • Providing strategic counsel on clients’ media, marketing, community, and promotional campaigns
  • Working with our in-house creative team to produce effective digital and traditional campaign
Candidate Qualifications:

  • Has 4+ years experience in public relations, integrated marketing communication, corporate communication, and/or branding and is looking for the next challenge
  • Has exceptional writing skills with knowledge of the AP style guide, and the ability to adopt various voices/tones for different clients, media, and subjects
  • Has existing media relationship and a proven record of earned media placement
  • Can apply experience and initiative in developing digital campaigns; influencer campaigns; community relations campaigns
  • Can confidently develop and implement plans for earned and social media, and measure results
  • Is resourceful and curious about our clients, the industry, and the world around us
  • Enjoys a good challenge and is highly motivated
  • Cares about attention to detail and accuracy
  • Is an independent problem solver, but also knows when to ask for help
  • Is a pro at managing multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines
  • Takes pride and ownership in their work

And you're really special if you:

  • Have previous agency experience and/or experience with nonprofits, financial services, or higher education
  • Understand brand strategy, the design process, digital & print production
  • Care about community service, mission-driven organizations and giving back to the community
