PRSA AUSTIN CHAPTER MASTERS CLASS SERIES

Event:

PRSA November Masters Class: Emotional Intelligence – What is it and how it impacts your team!

Did you know research has shown that people with high Emotional Intelligence (EI) have greater mental health, job performance, and leadership skills – and the lack of emotional intelligence is the #1 reason for conflict, job failure and termination? Join the PRSA Austin Chapter’s final Masters Class series of 2016 with HR veteran of 25 years Kate McLagan Bond as she discusses ways emotional intelligence impacts personal growth, your team and its success.

Managers wear several hats to facilitate the performance and development of a team, and must navigate a variety of challenges. Whether you manage 2 or 200, we all face similar challenges in effectively structuring our team and then communicating for prosperity. Team members feel more empowered when managers respect and understand that each team member is an important part to the organization's engine.

Kate is recognized for her experience in organizational development, leadership development, employee relations, and executive / career coaching.

In this Master's Class you'll have an intimate discussion on:

  • Addressing Technical vs. EI Skill Sets
  • Assessing Team Members and their Talents
  • Effectively Communicating Expectations
  • Resolving Conflict within Teams

Kate McLagan has more than 25 years of business experience in various leadership and HR consulting roles domestically and internationally. In addition to holding numerous senior management and business owner positions in the U.S. and S.E. Asia, Kate is recognized for her experience in organizational development, employee crisis consulting, and executive / career coaching. She has guided her clients through significant organizational change and led a variety of workforce development & performance management initiatives to achieve business objectives. Understanding that employees are the engine of an organization, Kate strives toward resolution and adoption of a culture that supports employee development and overall well being for all employees.
